Theresa Wilson
Theresa Wilson’s
professional background includes more than 20 years of experience as a
corporate manager and independent consultant in the fields of corporate
philanthropy, communication, community relations and human resources.
Immediately prior to co-founding Lighthouse Blue, Theresa spent seven years as
an independent consultant for a number of local organizations in the public,
private and nonprofit sectors.
During her 14 years with a Fortune 500 high-tech company, Theresa created,
planned and implemented effective and award-winning programs in the areas of
business-education partnerships, community relations, corporate philanthropy,
employee volunteerism and cooperative education.
She set strategy for the global disbursement of up to $4.2 million in grant
moneys per year, fostered meaningful relationships with community and education
leaders, and spearheaded the company’s investment in a public-private
partnership to build a $3 million service center dedicated to providing
educational and health services to the local community.
Theresa has served on the board of directors for the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Mayor’s Council for Economic Vitality, as president of the Sunnyvale Elementary School District Education Foundation board of directors, and as a board member/advisor for Leadership Sunnyvale. She has served as speaker/panelist on corporate philanthropy and strategic planning through a number of community forums. She also served on the Cooperative Education Advisory Council for the University of Santa Clara.
Theresa has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Santa Clara and a certificate from the Center for Corporate Community Involvement at Boston College. She is also a graduate of Leadership Sunnyvale.
